Volunteer FAQ
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No. We’ll provide orientation and guidance so you can volunteer confidently and respectfully.
What days and times do you need help?
We’re open Friday to Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteer opportunities vary. Contact us and we’ll match you with an area where help is needed.
Can groups or workplaces volunteer together?
Yes. Group volunteer days are welcome—please reach out in advance so we can plan a meaningful project.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Bring a water bottle if you’d like. We’ll share any role-specific needs ahead of time.
Is volunteering appropriate for students?
Often, yes. Tell us your age, availability, and any service-hour requirements, and we’ll confirm a good fit.
How do you keep the space safe and respectful?
We use a dignity-first approach with clear expectations, staff support and a focus on de-escalation and community care.
